Melinda D. Blackwell, Attorney at Law and Shareholder, enjoys a tremendous reputation for leadership in the area of property tax law. Before joining Brusniak|Blackwell PC eleven years ago, Melinda aggressively represented taxing entities, providing her with keen insight into governmental motivation and operations. She is the current chair of the American Bar Association's Property Tax Committee. She was born in Coushatta, Louisiana, November 30, 1964; admitted to bar, 1990, Texas; and she is also admitted to practice before U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit; U.S. District Court, Northern District of Texas. Melinda completed her undergraduate studies at Louisiana State University - Shreveport where she received her B.A. in Sociology. She obtained her J.D. in 1990 from Baylor University in Waco, Texas.
